Set off early from home and drove to Simons house and he and the boys took us to the airport. Four hour flight to Auckland with good service and we watched the film "Tracks". Two hour wait for next flight to Vancouver. Thirteen hours on a plane is not good but we survived, listening to music and another film.even had a bit of sleep. After leaving Adelaide at 11.20 we arrived in Vancouver at 2.00 pm the same day. Gee that 3 1/2 hours seemed long!
Went to hotel not far from airport and booked in. Walked around local area for a while and saw large shopping mall and a beautiful park right at back of hotel. Excited to see lots of Japanese maple trees, our first squirrel and lots of black rabbits in the park, Richmond seems to be inhabited almost totally by Asians!!!
