Shipboard life begins

More leisurely start to the day but breakfast was a bit more disorganized than what we have become used to at Fairmonts. Went for a short walk to try to buy some wine but bottle shop not open.

We all gathered in foyer and followed Glen over the road to the cruise ship terminal and went through immigration where we had all 10 fingers scanned and our irises as well. Eventually we got onto ship and found our stateroom which is pretty good although not quite as good as the Costa Concordia. Had a nice lunch in a small cafeteria on board and wandered around some more looking for facilities. We can purchase art works, jewellery, pay fortunes for beauty treatments and gamble millions in the casino, all of which are very high on our to do list!!!

During the afternoon we promenaded around the deck and checked out the restaurants. Had a very nice dinner in the Michelangelo restaurant with Lyn and Frank. Listened to a nice band in a bar for a while then sat with another couple from our tour and did a movie title quiz. That was a waste of time cos we didn't know much. Good nights sleep in our cabin.
